Dear parents and students,

March marked the beginning of a new phase, starting with the conclusion of the Primary 6 education camp on 1st March Friday, Teacher Professional development is a key focus at LTY. Apart from arranging various types of workshops, lectures, and courses for teachers to attend, the school also conducts classroom observations from October to December each year, where the Principal, senior teachers, and subject panels observe classes and subsequently hold review meetings to improve the quality of teaching. In addition, in the second term, the school organizes classroom observations covering subjects like Moral Education and Civic Education, focusing on activities and using an approach that helps students understand different values and attitudes. Therefore, from February to March, the Principal, Curriculum leader, and dean of Discipline also visit Moral Education and Civic Education classes in each level, primarily focusing on activities and using a straightforward approach to help students understand different values and attitudes.

今年LTY的一年級學生，在上學期沒有安排測驗和考試，這是為了讓他們能夠快速適應小一生活，減少學業上的壓力，真正享受學習的樂趣。下學期的測驗和考試將如常進行。為了讓家長了解學校的測考機制，我們在三月八日（五）下午舉行了小一家長座談會，班主任和科任老師向家長解釋了測考機制和試題類型，以便家長能夠幫助孩子溫習。

This year, Primary 1 students there were no tests or exams in the first term to allow them adapting to primary school life and reduce academic pressure, enabling them to truly enjoy the joy of learning. Tests and exams will resume as usual in the second term. To ensure that parents understand the school's assessment and examination mechanisms, we held a Primary 1 parent meeting on 8th March Friday afternoon, where class teacher and subject teachers explained the assessment and examination mechanisms and the types of questions, so that parents can assist their children for the revision.

在三月十四日（三），校長、五位老師和三十九名學生前往上海參加內地交流團。每年道教育局也會舉辦不同的內地交流團，讓學生和老師對國家的發展有所了解。這次我們參加了「同根同心」–香港初中及高小學生內地交流計劃（2023/2024）上海歷史及科技探索之旅。這三天的行程非常豐富，師生們不僅認識並了解了上海的科技發展、歷史、文化和建築，第二天還到訪了上海中原路小學分校，參觀並參與了不同的活動，讓學生們能夠了解內地學生的學習情況。

On 14th March Wednesday, the Principal, five teachers, and thirty-nine students participated in an exchange tour to Shanghai. The Education Bureau organizes different mainland exchange tours every year, allowing students and teachers to understand our homeland’s development. This time, we participated in the Mainland Exchange Program for Junior Secondary and Upper Primary School Students (2023/2024) Shanghai History and Technology Exploration Tour. The three-day itinerary was very enriching, as teachers and students not only learned about Shanghai's technological development, history, culture, and architecture but also visited and participated in different activities at Shanghai Zhongyuan Road Primary School Branch, allowing students to understand the learning situation of mainland students.

在三月二十二日（星期五）為教師發展日，當天老師們參加由教育局課程發展主任組舉行之工作坊，讓老師對各科的課程內容和相關新元素有了更深入的了解，以便在課堂上實踐。當天下午，我們舉行了第二次學校自評工作坊，並上午所學之相關元素加入學校的發展計劃中，使學校的發展更加全面和一致。

On 22nd March Friday, it was a Teacher Professional Development Day. Teachers attended workshops organized by the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau, which provided them with a deeper understanding of the content and new elements of various subjects, enabling them to implement them in their classrooms. In the afternoon, we held the second past School Self-evaluation Workshop, incorporating the relevant elements learned in the morning into the school development plan, making the school's development more comprehensive and consistent.

復活節假期不僅給學生提供了休息的機會，還可以為即將到來的四月中旬測驗做好準備。特別是對於六年級的同學來說，這次測驗將是他們的最後一次成績呈現的機會。在三月二十七日，部分同學已收到中學的通知，確認他們已被取錄。不管是否收到通知，同學們都應該繼續努力，不要輕易放棄。這次測驗對於同學們的中學申請和未來學習道路都具有重要意義，他們應該以積極的態度面對挑戰，全力以赴地準備和努力學習。學校將繼續提供支持和指導，幫助同學們在學業上取得好成績並迎接未來的挑戰。同學們可以利用復活節假期的時間，制定合理的學習計劃，並遵循自己的學習節奏，有目標地復習和強化知識。同時，他們也應該注意身心平衡，適度休息和參與課外活動，以保持健康的狀態和良好的學習動力。無論測驗結果如何，同學們的努力和成長都值得讚揚，他們應該為自己的付出感到自豪，並繼續追求學術和個人的卓越。

positive attitude, fully prepare and study hard. The school will continue to provide support and guidance to help students achieve good results academically and meet future challenges. Students can make use of the Easter break to create a reasonable study plan and follow their own learning pace to review and reinforce their knowledge with clear goals in mind. At the same time, they should also pay attention to maintaining a balance between their physical and mental well-being, taking adequate rest, and participating in extracurricular activities to maintain a healthy state and a good learning motivation. Regardless of the test results, students' efforts and growth are worthy of praise, and they should be proud of their dedication and continue to strive for academic and personal excellence.
